MARTIN

To become a good loser, one must embrace the fact that somebody else won. There are many things you can do.

Go on a losing streak on purpose. Go or play with the intention of losing and take enjoyment from the expressions and reactions of others winning. Forget about yourself and see everyone but you. But then go further,

When your next in line, let the person behind you go next. Play scratch offs at the gas station and if you win, give it to the cashier as a tip. Stop and hold the door for people behind you.

Winning is a state of mind. Take joy in the fact that you were present when someone else ended their losing streak. If nobody else played, who would win but you. It's the people that surround us that make the games fun. Friends, family and even strangers. All the world is connected, as winners and losers. Empathy is very important lesson. It's not if you win or lose but how you play the game.

JAN

Failures are always the stepping stones to success. 98% of everything you do fails one way or another. The 2% of the time you succeed is only a moment of time. Happiness is in the process of achieving. A win is only a moment in time. We learn from failures and it makes us stronger if our mind set is right. The weak quit and look at failure as failure. It is not possible to be the winner averaged out over 2% of the time over your life(just in case your having a winning streak and try to argue my point)

If you loose a race, what happened? Did you get enough sleep, were you feeling ok, did your training fall short that week, is it possible the winner was just stronger/faster, take all you know and gain advice from trainers how to do better.

If you beat yourself over a loss, get used to the beatings!!!

WARREN

you don't. you train yourself to be a good sport whether you win or lose. you should handle them both graciously, but you shouldn't feel good about losing. you should learn from your losses and let that motivate you to do better the next time.

MICKEY

i have been raised and have taught my children that its not about winning or losing its about giving your all and doing your best 100% of the time...MY kids and I have a cheer when I or they lose at a board game or whatever we say"its alright its OK we had fun anyway!" when you go into something just to have fun then winning is a bonus..and 99% of the time when you do your best you win anyway..even if its not the game you feel like you are a winner because you've done all that you could and gave all that you could

CLEO

As simple as it sounds, you should go by the 'ole "you win some, you lose some." Nobody can have it all. If it really upsets you, think about times when you did win. And remember, you are not truly a loser.. Infact, you should even consider yourself lucky just to experience some situations - whether or not you win or lose. There are some people who are not capable of doing what you were able to do at all.
